Dr. Neal R. Cutler
CEO and Founder, CCT
Dr. Neal R. Cutler is currently the CEO and President of Concierge Clinical Trials. Previously, Dr. Cutler served as the CEO and Founder of Worldwide Clinical Trials, a global CRO that offers a full range of product development services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. He held this position from 2007–2024 and successfully merged it with Kohlberg & Company. Dr. Cutler founded and served as president and CEO of Alamo Pharmaceuticals LLC from 2000–2006. During this time, Dr. Cutler also developed and obtained FDA approval for a new drug to treat schizophrenia, FazaClo®, which is on the market today. He successfully merged Alamo into Avanir Pharmaceuticals in 2006.
Dr. Cutler was founder and director of California Clinical Trials from 1987–1999, which was one of the largest Phase I–III clinical pharmacology and investigational sites in the United States. This was expanded into a global CRO, also named Worldwide Clinical Trials, which he successfully merged into a subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group Inc.
Dr. Cutler is a board-certified psychiatrist and board-qualified in both neurology and clinical pharmacology. He currently serves as the Adjunct Professor of Medicine, Department of Medicine/Cardiology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He worked at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for over nine years and served as both the section chief for the Laboratory of Neuroscience and as deputy clinical director of the National Institute on Aging (NIA). He also served as an expert to the Food and Drug Administration Division of Neuropharmacological Agents from 1981-1983. He was previously president of the American Foundation for Clinical Pharmacology and served on a special emphasis panel review committee for the National Institute on Aging for the NIH.
Dr. Cutler has been instrumental in the design and clinical development of over 500 compounds in numerous therapeutic areas, with expertise in central nervous system disorders. He developed the revolutionary “dynabridge” and “bridging” study methodologies, which made feasible the study of the dynamic activity of a compound in the brain and facilitated the rapid and effective development of several subsequent compounds.
Dr. Cutler has given several hundred international and national presentations in the fields of aging, migraine, clinical pharmacology, and drug development. He has authored over 280 publications, including 9 books on the topics of clinical pharmacology, aging, Alzheimer’s disease, schizophrenia, anxiety disorders and diabetes.

John J. Sramek, Pharm. D.
Director of Clinical Research, CCT
Dr. Sramek is currently Director of Clinical Research at Concierge Clinical Trials. Previously, he served as the Director of Clinical Research for California Clinical Trials, Inc., Worldwide Clinical Trials, Inc., Alamo Pharmaceuticals, LLC, and Concierge Clinical Trials for nearly 35 years.
Dr. Sramek has authored over 220 publications on psychopharmacology and various aspects of clinical pharmacology and drug development, including eleven books and numerous book chapters. Dr. Sramek has also worked on the design and clinical development of approximately 500 compounds over the full range of clinical drug development, from initial human pharmacology through pivotal efficacy trials. His co-development of the bridging study methodology has been instrumental in the rapid transition of a compound from Phase I to Phase II/III clinical efficacy trials by establishing the maximum tolerated dose early in patient populations.
He has clinical pharmacology and clinical trial expertise in a wide range of indications including Alzheimer’s disease, schizophrenia, depression, anxiety disorders, migraine, and cardiovascular disorders.
Dr. Sramek earned a Pharm.D. from the University of Southern California and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in biology and psychology.

Samuel Simmons
Vice President of Finance, CCT
Samuel Simmons currently serves as Vice President of Finance for Concierge Clinical Trials. He is a well-respected leader with global financial and pharmaceutical development experience spanning more than 30 years.
Samuel has led global financial teams for various private companies, including roles in clinical research services and biotechnology.
Before Concierge Clinical Trials, Samuel served as Vice President of Finance for Worldwide Clinical Trials, a global clinical research organization. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Finance for Alamo Pharmaceuticals, a biotechnology company, and held a senior leadership position at California Clinical Trials, a clinical trial site located in Beverly Hills.
Samuel earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa Oklahoma. He secured his public accounting experience at the big four accounting firm Deloitte & Touche.
Samuel is a licensed CPA (inactive) in California. He resides in Los Angeles with his wife and their daughter and two sons.

Modesto Carrillo
Clinical Site Director, CCT
Modesto Carrillo currently serves as Site Director for Concierge Clinical Trials. With over 11 years of experience in site management, Modesto brings a wealth of expertise to his role as Site Director. Previously Modesto served as Clinical Site Director, Sr. Project Manager and Lead Clinical Research Coordinator. Across these numerous leadership roles, Modesto has cultivated a solid foundation in effective team management and strategic planning.
Throughout his tenure, Modesto has demonstrated a keen ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex operations, and foster a collaborative environment. His leadership is characterized by a strategic vision, operational efficiency, and dedication to advancing the field of health research. His support in clinical operations has brought comfort to sponsors, patients and staff alike in this industry.
Modesto began his career as an EMT. He earned a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership, equipping him with essential skills in management and strategy. Today, Modesto is deeply involved in clinical research, where he combines his hands-on medical experience with his research expertise to contribute to the advancement of healthcare.

Anthony Acocella
Director of IT, CCT
Anthony Acocella serves as Director of IT at Concierge Clinical Trials. He is a seasoned IT Director with over 20 years of experience. He excels at solving complex technical challenges with a focused, creative approach.
Previously, Anthony served as the Director of IT at Petite ‘n Pretty, LLC and Mapleleaf Ventures, LLC. At Petite ‘n Pretty, Anthony was instrumental in building the company’s IT infrastructure, planning and executing IT system upgrades, and ensuring the company’s technological needs were met efficiently and securely. At Mapleleaf Ventures, Anthony managed the company’s and CEO’s IT infrastructure, including servers, Cisco Meraki wireless systems, and custom technology solutions.
Prior to his current roles, Anthony worked as an IT Support Technician at Worldwide Clinical Trials, where he provided crucial support to internal and external organizations, managed IT assets, and supported the Founder and CEO.
Anthony holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Long Island University and gained valuable IT experience working for large school districts in Connecticut.
